Quest to Re-invest gains popularity and buzz throughout the state

We were contacted the other day by John S. Gianforte for the University of New Hampshire to help with an event at the Observatory. He has heard about “Quest to Re-invest as it gains popularity and buzz throughout the state. We will be helping John in any way we can. We did not know there was such a thing going on at UNH and that it is open to the public and wanted our readers to know about this opportunity for a different night out opportunity. John explains the event and goings on at the observatory much better than we could so I have included his letter to us which explains in detail the Universities efforts. Exeter Events and Tent will keep all the guests dry tonight under our beautiful 40’x104’, 32’x 50” Sail cloth tents and our 80’x 100’ Anchor Century vinyl tent. Both events will use over thirty tents of all sizes and at many locations. The size and multiple locations make this event one of our specialties, showcasing what we excel at every day! We though we would include an article on this event featured on Seacoastonline.com. It gives you a little more information about this years locations incase anyone wants to lend a hand. They are always looking for help.

A few kind words from Camp Allen

A few weeks ago we showcased a very popular non-profit with our readers, Camp Allen in Bedford, NH. As many of you know we gifted a much needed tent to the camp through our philanthropic program “Quest to Re-invest” and although we do these types of things strictly as a way of giving back to the community, asking for nothing in return, it is always nice to receive kind words of support. I have included below a thank you letter and two pictures of the tent in use at the camp. We hope that they have many years of enjoyment and shady dry events at Camp Allen. Let’s know in the comments of any experiences you or someone you know has attended or volunteered at Camp Allen. I know, like myself, that the readers would enjoy your comments.

Genesis funds annual golf tournament by donating

Exeter Events and Tents founder Mike Parkin continues his long standing support for the Genesis funds annual golf tournament by donating $1,085.00 in rental equipment to the big event. The hosts Matt Hoffman and Andrew Tuchler were on hand Monday, August 1, 2011 for the 13th Annual Ultimate-Champion Golf Challenge! Everyone enjoyed a round of golf at the breath-taking Lake Winnipesaukee Golf Club, along with a delicious dinner, and both live and silent auctions. The 13th Annual Ultimate-Champion Golf Challenge supports The Genesis Fund, a non-profit organization that raises money to help New England area children born with birth defects, intellectual disabilities and genetic diseases. This is one Genesis Fund event that is definitely not to be missed!

Painting the Big Red Barn

If you have traveled route 33 in Stratham, NH in the last few weeks you may have noticed that the barn located at the New Hampshire SPCA has a shiny new coat of red paint. This was the brain child of Michael Parkin founder of Exeter Events and Tents.  I asked Michael what was his motivation in taking on this project. “I came up with the idea because I thought it would be a nice way to reinvest in our community.  It was an unsolicited offer and it was consistent with my philanthropic core values”. The project required two days of planning and another two 12 hour days of painting using a 2 man crew the first day and one painter the second day. Exeter Rent-All donated all the brushes, paint sprayers (TITAN), lifts (NIFTY LIFT) and ladders (Little Giant) to accomplish the job. The barn required 15 gallons of Benjamin Moore Paint donated by Arjay Ace Hardware of Exeter.

The completed barn was a huge hit with the New Hampshire SPCA. Suzanne Bryant Farm Animal Care Coordinator commented; Mike, truly, thanks so much for the paint job.  The barn looks great and was so desperately in need.  You guys ROCK!!”

We also heard from some of the residents of the Big Red Barn.

Peter and Seven said; “We just wanted to thank everyone involved in making our temporary home (we all want to be adopted into great families) beautiful again. If we had arms we would hug you. You are always welcome to come down and say hi and share a bag of oats, a handful of carrots or a bale of hay with us!”

O.K., I think that’s what they said, but seriously the New Hampshire SPCA has many types of animals that need good loving homes. So if you are driving on Rt 33 in Stratham, NH and see the newly painted red barn pull in and check out the animals up for adoption or if your home is already full meet the volunteers, volunteer yourself or make a donation, no amount is to small to help the cause. Visit one of these links http://www.nhspca.org/contributions.html or http://www.nhspca.org/about.html and thanks in advance.
